Top 10 Most Valuable 2022 Bowman Draft Baseball Cards

Bowman Draft is a highly-anticipated drop each December, as fans and collectors alike get a chance to invest in their favorite prospects from the MLB Draft six months prior in July.

Previously featuring household names such as Mike Trout and Aaron Judge, we’ve seen a number of players featured in the Bowman Draft release turn into MLB superstars, a trend that is unlikely to end soon. But what makes this release unique is that even if these guys don’t materialize into stars, their cards always increase in value upon call-up, making cards in this release extremely investable.

The 2022 draft class features players at desirable positions such as solid middle infielders, power hitting outfielders and more.

Let’s hop into the 10 most valuable from 2022 Bowman Baseball Draft, headlined exclusively by 1st Prospect Chrome DP Autos.

Jett Williams 2022 Bowman Draft #CDA-JWS Chrome DP Auto – Superfractor /1 PSA 10

Williams takes home our number one spot with his Chrome DP Auto Superfractor, 1 of 1. He was selected by the New York Mets with the 14th pick in the 2022 MLB Draft. The Texas native decided to forgo college and his commitment to Mississippi State. Williams, who was ranked as the number one high school shortstop in the nation, has drawn plenty of attention to his small frame, with good speed and impressive plate discipline. Williams has made the jump from rookie ball to Single-A and looks to continue climbing the ranks in the Mets organization.

Jackson Holliday 2022 Bowman Draft #CDA-JH Chrome DP Auto – Red Lava Refractor /5 (1st) RAW

Our second card on this list is headlined by a name many will recognize. Jackson Holliday, son of 7-time All-Star Matt Holliday, has gotten off to an extremely hot start in the minor leagues. Batting .331 this year, the No. 1 overall pick was promoted to high-A ball after less than 100 minor league games played. There is a growing consensus in the Orioles organization that Holliday has what it takes to be elite at the highest level, much like his father. This Red Lava Refractor sits as the second-highest priced trade we’ve seen from this release without being highly graded, and don’t be surprised if that number climbs as Jackson does.

Elijah Green 2022 Bowman Draft #CDA-EG Chrome DP Auto – Red Refractor /5 (1st) RAW

Elijah Green’s Red Lava Refractor sits third in our list, selling raw for five figures at the beginning of 2023. Green attended the coveted IMG Academy, and was selected 5th overall in the 2022 MLB Draft by the Washington Nationals. Being the Nats highest draft pick since Bryce Harper, fans have high hopes for Green’s development.

Jackson Holliday 2022 Bowman Draft #CDA-JH Chrome DP Auto – Gold Refractor /50 (1st) PSA 10

Jackson Holliday’s Gold Refractor /50 sits in our fourth spot in PSA 10. Most recently sold for $7,000 in April of 2023, this card saw a 30% price dropoff from its previous trade, so it may be worth a look at for those willing to make a larger investment.

Drew Gilbert 2022 Bowman Draft #CDA-DG Chrome DP Auto – Superfractor /1 (1st) RAW

Drew Gilbert’s 1 of 1 Superfractor card sits in the fifth spot on our list, selling for $9,000 in February. The former Tennessee Volunteer made his way to the Astros Double-A affiliate, batting .268 with a .374 on-base percentage. Gilbert played for the American League in the 2023 MLB Futures Game during the All-Star break, and seems to be as close as it gets to a legitimate five-tool prospect.

Elijah Green 2022 Bowman Draft #CDA-EG Chrome DP Auto – Orange Refractor /25 (1st) PSA 10

Green makes his second appearance on our list. His 2022 Orange Refractor PSA 10 sold for $7,500 on April 22nd of this year.

Elijah Green 2022 Bowman Draft #CDA-EG Chrome DP Auto – Orange Refractor /25 (1st) RAW

For those not quite willing to spend the PSA 10 price for Green’s Orange Refractor, you can get an ungraded card at a fraction of the cost. The Raw Orange Refractor has trended at an average of $5,100 while selling most recently at just $4,600. Depending on how your purchase grades, there could be strong upside in picking up one of these Orange Refractor’s Raw.

Termarr Johnson Bowman Draft #CDA-TJ Chrome DP Auto – Red Wave Refractor /5 (1st) RAW

Termarr Johnson makes an appearance on our list with his Red Wave Refractor in raw condition. Drafted fourth overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates, Johnson has one of the highest contact rates on the MLB Top 100 prospect list. Despite being just 5-foot-8, Johnson generates exceptional bat speed that allows him to produce plenty of pop off the barrel. With just five of this parallel printed, you can add some exclusivity to your PC for around $5,000, as the card sold in January for $5,110.

Elijah Green 2022 Bowman Draft #CDA-EG Chrome DP Auto – Orange Refractor /25 (1st) BGS 9.5

Green’s Orange Refractor variant graded in BGS 9.5 comes in at number nine on our list, slightly below its PSA 10 and raw counterparts. This card traded at $5,100 as recently as May of 2023.

Elijah Green 2022 Bowman Draft #CDA-EG Chrome DP Auto – Red Wave Refractor /5 (1st) PSA 10

Rounding off our Top 10 Bowman Draft list is yet another Elijah Green card. His Red Wave Refractor was printed just five times, and only two are in circulation that have been graded in PSA 10. The card sold for $5,040 on May 31 and has just two cards graded in PSA 10 so far.
